Everything you need to know about Catch Bonus in Pokemon Go

Hey everyone, I am back with something for all the Pokemon players out there. Pokemon Go game has got a revolution in the gaming industry but how much ever popular the game is Niantic is always busy hiding stuff from its users and leaves everyone to research online and figure they way out. I have been playing this game since the launch day and so far it has been a decent experience.
Since the day I started playing I am following this amazing Pokemon Trainer who also Beta tested the game for Niantic, Nick. He uploads a new training video everyday and covers a lot of new stuff one can learn.
So, I decided to explore the catch bonus in the game and with my research on many online websites and Nick's video about catch mechanics which I have linked below.
The new medals which you get for a certain type of Pokemon act as a multiplier to the base catch rate. Bronze is +1, Silver is +2 and Gold is for +3.
The type of ball you use and the type of throw also effects the catch rate of the pokemon.
Let us see an example to make things clear:

Suppose, Base catch rate of a pokemon is 10% and we have a gold medal bonus for that pokemon which gives ou +3%.  For a great throw the multiplier is 1.5x, if you also through a curve ball which I strongly suggest to all the time, you get an extra multiplier of 1.25x, the use of Ultra Ball will earn you 1.5x multiplier and razz berry gives another 1.25x.
So, for this pokemon the catch rate with these parameters is (10%+3%)*1.5*1.25*1.25*1.5 = 45.7%.

Hope the video and formula above helped you guys learn more about the catch bonuses and how to use them effectively.
